Kerry Rohrmeier
Director of Policy
As Director of Policy at Hexagon Energy, Kerry advances policy, governance, and regulatory strategy for geothermal and solar energy development.
Before joining Hexagon, Kerry led community impact for a battery-recycling and critical-minerals startup, overseeing site planning, permitting, and community engagement for a large mine-and-refinery project. Her background also includes managing government affairs for Ormat Technologies, serving as the Nevada climate and energy strategist with The Nature Conservancy, and chairing a local and regional planning commission. Earlier in her career, Kerry served as an assistant professor of urban and regional planning at San José State University, where her research on the siting of electrified transportation infrastructure sparked her passion for geothermal solutions.
Kerry holds a Ph.D. in geography from the University of Nevada, Reno, an M.S. in biological sciences from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and a B.A. in science and technology from Sierra Nevada College.
