John Casteel
Vice President of Geothermal Resource
John is the Vice President of Geothermal Resource with 20 years of experience exclusively in geothermal resource exploration, development and project management across the western US. Prior to joining Hexagaon, John gained valuable and wide-ranging experience with well site geology and reservoir management, directing resource exploration and well testing strategies, to leading environmental and project development permitting.
He has an extensive background in well site geology/mud logging, geoscience integration with detailed 3D models, well targeting, seismic analysis, exploration and development drilling, and geothermal reservoir testing and characterization. John constantly fosters collaboration and has broad experience coordinating international teams, consultants and vendors on geothermal projects in the western US. At Hexagon, John will oversee the exploration, identification and characterization of the large and growing portfolio of geothermal resources.
John has a Masters of Science in Geology from Central Washington University, and an Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Whitman College.
