DREW PRICE

President & Chief Development Officer

Drew Price is the President and Chief Development Officer of Hexagon Energy, a renewable energy development company he co-founded with CEO Matt Hantzmon. In his role, Drew oversees the company's strategic direction, operations, and development activities, leading the team responsible for bringing solar, storage, and geothermal projects from concept through ready-to-build status.

In Hexagon's early years, Drew was directly involved in development work—meeting with landowners, navigating local permitting processes, and building relationships in the communities where projects were sited. That hands-on experience shaped his approach to leadership and remains central to how Hexagon operates today: collaboratively, transparently, and with respect for the people and places involved.

Under Drew's leadership, Hexagon has successfully developed and sold over 2.5 GW of renewable energy projects and grown from a small startup into an established development platform. He has also helped attract outside capital to support the company's development activities, including long-term credit facilities, short-term financing, and bond issuances.

Drew has also been active in shaping renewable energy policy in Virginia, working alongside county administrators and supervisors to reform how solar projects are taxed, creating more predictable revenue streams for local governments. He previously served on the boards of the Chesapeake Solar and Storage Association (CHESSA) and the Charlottesville Renewable Energy Alliance.

Before founding Hexagon, Drew spent over a decade in energy and environmental consulting, including roles at SRA International and Accenture, where he helped build and manage large-scale environmental commodity markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia.
