Somerville Solar
Somerville Solar

2.7 MWdc | Fayette County, TN

Somerville Solar is Tennessee’s largest landfill solar project. The 2.7 MWdc project is located on the closed sections of the Fayette County Landfill, turning otherwise unusable land into a source of clean energy. Part of TVA’s Distributed Solar Solutions (DSS) program, the project began operation in March 2019.

Bay Branch Solar
Bay Branch Solar

5 MWac | Beaufort County, NC

Bay Branch Solar is a 5 MWac solar project located in Beaufort County, North Carolina. Hexagon was responsible for all aspects of development, including site selection, PPA negotiation, interconnection, and permitting. The project began operation in December 2018, providing all power to Duke Energy. The project will generate over 12.5 million kWh of renewable electricity each year, equivalent to the annual electricity usage of 1,250 homes.

Tyre Bridge Solar
Tyre Bridge Solar

117.5 MWac | Pierce County, GA

Tyre Bridge Solar is a 117.5 MWac solar project located in Pierce County, Georgia. Hexagon was responsible for all aspects of development, including site selection, environmental studies and concurrence, interconnection, permitting, and tax abatement. The project has an executed IA and is expected to begin construction in 2026.

Piney Creek Solar
Piney Creek Solar

80 MWac | Halifax County, VA

Piney Creek Solar is an 80 MWac solar project located in Halifax County, Virginia. Constructed and operating since August 2023. The facility generates over $3.7 million in new local tax revenue and produces enough clean energy to power approximately 13,600 homes.

Marlow Solar
Marlow Solar

2 MWac | Jefferson County, IL

Marlow Solar is a 2 MWac community solar project that was selected as part of the Illinois Adjustable Block Program in the spring of 2019. Located in Jefferson County, IL, the project provides power to Ameren Illinois, which customers may subscribe to. Marlow Solar is one of the state’s first community solar projects built under the Future Energy Jobs Act and was completed in 2020.

Old Frontier III Solar
Old Frontier III Solar

2 MWac | Deerfield County, MA

Old Frontier III Solar is a 2 MWAC community solar plus storage (1MW/2MWh) project located in Deerfield, Massachusetts. The project was awarded a Statement of Qualifications under the Massachusetts SMART program. The project has received all required permits and approvals and is currently operational.

ENERGY STORAGE

Energy storage provides the ability to better manage our power supply, promoting a more stable and efficient electrical infrastructure. Energy storage includes a wide array of technical solutions deployed alone or in combination with energy sources such as solar and wind. Hexagon Energy is currently pursuing both integrated and standalone energy storage projects.

GEOTHERMAL

Geothermal energy has the ability to provide consistent base load power with a small footprint. Because of this, geothermal power is forecasted to be one of the fastest growing sources over the next 25 years. Hexagon is exploring new applications for geothermal power, both in the US and abroad.
