Matt Hill

Project developer

Matt works as a Project Developer for Hexagon standalone battery energy storage initiatives. He is responsible for the development of energy storage projects, including market analysis, site identification, community and landowner outreach, property purchases, leases and permitting.

Prior to joining Hexagon, Matt worked in the asset management industry in several trading and operations roles. He previously worked as an execution trader at PlusTick Management, a long/short hedge fund, where he traded corporate credit and equity instruments. He additionally worked in trading operations at IEX, the startup stock exchange chronicled in Michael Lewis' bestseller Flash Boys.

Matt holds an MBA with a concentration in Capital Markets and Investments from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Montana State University.
