Corey Aldred

GIS Analyst


Corey serves as a GIS Analyst for Hexagon Energy. In this role, he is responsible for assisting with project development and prospecting, with a focus on identifying feasible sites for energy development. He primarily contributes to expanding cartographic efforts and building dynamic geospatial tools for use by the GIS team. He brings a diverse background in sustainability studies, geography, and professional wilderness guiding. These prior experiences have culminated in a fierce passion for working towards a climate positive future.

Corey holds an MA in Geography, along with a GIS Certificate, from the University of Missouri. There, he published research that revealed novel landscape changes across upper treeline ecotones in the Southern Rocky Mountains due to the effects of climate change and hotter drought conditions.
