Marketing Intern

POSITION SUMMARY

Hexagon Energy, a renewable energy project development company specializing in solar and battery energy storage headquartered in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking a part-time Marketing & Graphic Design Intern to support our commercial and development teams in preparing various promotional materials and presentations. This position will focus on a defined set of key projects to enhance how Hexagon presents its services and products to various audiences and will involve limited copywriting, graphic design, and the completion of key deliverables. This in-office internship position reports to our Business Development Manager and will interact across the organization. 

Candidates must be results-oriented and excited about applying their marketing skills to the renewable energy sector. An ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of marketing strategies, including continuing education of new marketing tactics and tools

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills rooted in professionalism

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; Adobe InDesign experience preferred

  • Ability to quickly learn and process information, desire to learn and improve

  • Strong organization and time management skills

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collecting and analyzing data to support A/B testing of various outreach methods used across the organization

• Researching consumer opinions and marketing strategies and proposing adjustments to current strategies accordingly

• Preparing presentations and designing templates based on company needs for both customer and investment audiences

• Supporting in the monitoring and managing of the company’s LinkedIn account and website, adjusting tactics as needed

LOCATION

This is an in-person, part-time (15- 20 hours per week based on candidate availability) position in Charlottesville, VA. This position will be paid an hourly rate of $20 per hour.
