Senior Director of Project Execution

Ben serves as Senior Director of Project Execution for Hexagon Energy. He is responsible for overseeing the late-stage execution of Hexagon’s solar and storage projects, including pre-construction strategy for engineering, procurement, and construction, supply chain management, EPC partner coordination, and construction oversight.

Prior to joining Hexagon, Ben served as the Senior Director of Engineering for Orsted Americas for 4.5 years, where he managed an engineering team providing technical support across the full lifecycle of Orsted’s onshore wind, solar, and battery storage assets. There, he helped build Orsted’s first solar and storage projects, including one of the largest solar plus storage projects in the world, and supported the execution of over 3 GWs of renewables in total. Prior to Orsted, Ben served as Vice President of Development Engineering at Coronal Energy where he managed the team providing development technical support for a 4 GW pipeline of solar and storage assets. Ben also served as Senior Project Engineer with HelioSage prior to its acquisition by Coronal. He started his career in the aerospace and defense industry, holding engineering positions with Orbital Sciences Corporation as well as Computer Sciences Corporation as a US Navy contractor.

Ben holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with honors from the University of Virginia.
