Buzz serves as a Development Manager for Hexagon Energy. He is responsible for the development and management of wind and solar energy projects, including market analysis, site identification, community and landowner outreach, property leases, and early feasibility studies.
Prior to joining Hexagon, Buzz served as a business development associate at CustomerFirst Renewables, responsible for overhauling the firm’s SalesForce structure, developing a tiered, holistic BD strategy, and leading initial engagement with Department of Defense prospects. Previously, Buzz worked in Phillips 66’s Marketing Leadership Development Program, focusing on sales and brand analytics. While at P66, Buzz helped found and chair the company’s Veterans Employee Network.
Buzz holds an MBA with a Global Business concentration from the University of Virginia, and a B.A. with honors in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. He held the John MacFarlane Fellow through the Jefferson Scholars Foundation, as well as the Samuel Forrest Hyde Memorial Fellowship at the University of Virginia. He is also an infantry officer in the Virginia National Guard.
