NICK FORD
Senior DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING
Nick is the Senior Director of Engineering for Hexagon Energy. He is responsible for the engineering and design of renewable energy systems, including site analysis, system design, permitting, utility interconnection, and management of outside consultants.
Prior to Hexagon, Nick spent two years with SunPower in the R&D department as part of the performance and electrical group for ground mount products. At SunPower, he worked on the development of new commercial rooftop and ground mount eBOS solutions for reducing design and installation times. He was also responsible for optimizing utility scale LCPV receiver and system level electrical topology. Throughout both development efforts, Nick worked closely with vendors, SunPower manufacturing, and construction to ensure the delivery of systems of high quality and reliability, from start to finish.
Nick holds a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and is a Charles Harmon Bronner Scholar of the Whiting School of Engineering.
